The Foreplay MCP connects your favorite AI tools β Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, and any other MCP-compatible app β directly to Foreplay's ad data.
Once connected, your AI can research over 200,000,000 ads across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and more, plus your own Foreplay boards and Swipe Files β without you pasting a single screenshot or link.
Additionally, if you have your ad account connected to Foreplay via Lens, you can also leverage that data in your favourite chat tool.
What is MCP?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. In plain English, it's a standard way for AI tools to connect to outside apps and data sources.
Without a connection like this, an AI tool can brainstorm and help you organize ideas, but it's essentially guessing. With Foreplay connected, it works from live and historical ad data instead. Think of it as giving your AI a research assistant with real-time access to the world's ad libraries.
What can the Foreplay MCP do?
For every ad in our database, your AI can pull:
The creative (video or image)
The ad copy
The CTA
The landing page URL
Ad Transcript
The ad's status (active or inactive)
How long the ad has been running
Additional metadata depending on platform
The MCP server URL
You'll need this URL for every setup. It's the same across all tools:
public.api.foreplay.co/mcpSet it up for your tool
Pick your platform for a step-by-step guide:
Connect Foreplay to Claude β web & desktop
Connect Foreplay to Cursor, Codex & Claude Code β and other MCP coding tools
Example prompts to try first
Once you're connected, start simple:
"Use Foreplay to find long-running video ads in the [your category] space."
"Pull active ads for [brand] and summarize the hooks, offers, CTAs, and landing pages."
"Look through my Foreplay swipe file and group the saved ads by creative angle."
